Jensen Building Ltd is looking for a carpenter supervisor for a fulltime and permanent position in Kingston area, Ontario.
Responsibilities include:
- Supervise, co-ordinate and schedule the activities of carpenters and related apprentices, helpers and labourers of third parties.
- Establish methods to meet work schedules and co-ordinate work activities with other sub trades and third parties
- Requisition materials and supplies and coordinate their delivery and allocation
- Resolve work problems and recommend and manage work –related issues
- Suggest ideas to improve productivity of carpenters
- Train or arrange for training of workers
- Provide feedback on employee performance and recommend personnel actions such as hirings and promotions
- Ensure standards for safe working conditions are observed
- Prepare schedules and other reports
- Prepare cost estimates for clients
- Be prepared to travel. Actual work locations will be throughout Ontario
- Requirements for the job are 5 years work experience as supervisor carpenter.
- Must have experience in overseeing and directing the work and experience in leading meetings with third parties.
College or trade diploma or equivalent experience
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $32.00 /hour
