COOK (NOC63200) EAST SIDE MARIO’S 933 Lansdowne Street West Peterborough, ON K9J 1Z5 Permanent Full Time 42 hours per week $17 per hour 2 Vacancies East Side Mario’s is looking for two full time Cooks at our Peterborough location. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Follow all food safety guidelines. Prepare all ingredients and assemble recipes so they are ready to be used for daily meal preparations. Prepare food on the grill, including proteins, vegetables, noodles, and other products while monitoring all temperatures and ensuring safe cooking. Carefully plate and present food for takeout or dine in – making sure to present clean appetizing detailed dishes. Cleaning and maintaining the work area, including grill, deep fryer, prep area and any tools used through the shift. Mailing and keeping tract of inventory for daily/weekly production of recipes. Receiving inventory Perform all opening and closing assignments as instructed. QUALIFICATIONS: This position requires a college culinary certificate OR the equivalent of a minimum three years of commercial cooking in a high-volume restaurant is required. Food Handling certificate is required. EXPERIENCE AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS: At least 3 years of work experience as a cook Training in restaurant kitchen operations Safe food handling certification Positive attitude and ability to thrive in a fast-paced kitchen environment. Excellent organizational skills and ability to pay attention to details. Good communication skills and ability to work as a team.
